About ARK

A group built out of different jobs.

We Are ARK is the group identity for a set of technology businesses that grew out of each other. It exists so customers, partners and investors can see the whole thing at once.

Structure

The businesses trade under their own names and their own websites, with ARK Business Holdings Limited as the holding company. That separation is deliberate: a business customer and a household have different needs, and neither should be sold the other's service by accident.

ARK Business Holdings Limited. Registered in England & Wales. Company No. 17062841.

Why group it at all

Because the same people, knowledge and standards run through all of it. Grouping means a repair customer can be helped with backup, a business can get its phones sorted, and a home project can draw on commercial network experience — without anyone starting again with a stranger.

Why ARK exists

People helping other people with technology.

The businesses have changed a lot since the first repair shop opened, but the underlying job has not. Technology is useful when it helps somebody do something; it becomes a problem when the person using it can no longer understand, control or trust it.

ARK exists to sit on the customer's side of that problem — whether that customer is a business trying to make sense of cybersecurity, somebody whose computer has stopped working, or a household trying to get its technology working together properly.

That also means looking after the people doing the work. Our principle is staff first, customers second: give good people the tools, support and working environment they need, and they are in a much better position to look after the people who rely on us.

How we work

Four things that don't change.

  • Say what the thing is

If a customer wouldn't recognise the description of their own problem, it's the wrong description.

  • Separate businesses, shared standards

Each business answers to its own customers. How work is done, and what's acceptable, doesn't change between them.

  • Explain the reasoning

The choice matters less than why it was chosen. Customers are entitled to both, including what was deliberately not done.

  • Own the outcome

Referring work to another part of ARK doesn't hand the problem over. The group still answers for it.

The group

What sits where.

We Are ARK is made up of three principal businesses — ARK Assist for work, ARK Computer Repair for repairs and ARK Home for the home — supported by ARK Connect, ARK Care and ARK Backup.

One group. Different ways we can help.
